Gorgeous light for the Kings
Wow! what a magical autumnal afternoon photographing the lovely King family for their Ditchling Common family photoshoot. The Kings were from Burgess Hill so Ditchling Common is just a short hop from Burgess Hill for them and Brighton for me.
First time at Ditchling Common
I had never been there, but when Mum – Debbie suggested it as a location for their family photoshoot I was keen. It is always great to go somewhere the family are familiar with and love. These guys know Ditchling Common really well having had many dog walks, family days out there over the years.
What a lovely spot, moorland, woodland and even a gorgeous lake to wander around. This is one well kept Sussex secret.
Stunning Colours and good sports
The light and colours were stunning for the King’s Ditchling Common family photoshoot. The sun hung low on the horizon and seemed to make everyone glow. With teenagers, it is often a good idea to start a bit later in the day. Mid-afternoon was perfect for these guys. It gave them time to wake up properly, do some homework and have a bite to eat before heading out. Everyone is happy! Plus we had the added bonus of beautiful late afternoon light.
The colour of the bracken and leaves against the blue sky was breathtaking and Dexter the spaniel even blended in well.
